Joining the Nauticat Association

This Association was officially inaugurated in 1995 by the current President Ray Dennett. Membership is by boat and there are currently (2020) 120 boats worldwide. The Association is based in the UK and there are members from Belgium, Canada, France, Ireland, Sweden, Portugal, the States, Lithuania, Italy, Norway, and Australia. The Nauticat range comprises of very well-made motor sailers and pilot house yachts, originally manufactured by Siltala yachts, then Nauticat Yachts at Turku in Finland, which went into receivership in May 2018.

The most popular model is the 33, which has been in production since 1966, and there are about 1200 of them worldwide, they were superseded by the 331. The largest in the range are the 525’s, with various sizes in between to cater for all tastes and requirements. The name Nauticat comes from the Finnish for nautical quality and they are certainly quality boats.

Your membership is greatly appreciated.  The Committee work hard to try and ensure that members have easy ways to communicate with other boat owners and potential boat owners.  We try and keep our membership fee as low as possible, most of it goes on the production of our printed Cat-A-Log magazine which we get strong positive feedback upon.

The association is run by volunteers who form a committee; this is very much a virtual committee mainly working via e-mail and meeting up at the occasional social gathering and events.
