    Hello All,

I have a significant leak of salty water in my Nauticat 515. Number 10. It is not a seacock as they are all checked neither a hose or the engine or the rudder … can you check if this has happened with another 515.

    Thanks a lot

    Bruno

    Hi Bruno,

I had this in my NC43 and it was the keel bolts leaking… but my boat is old, and I think the 515 is a much more modern vessel, but worth checking. Dry the bilge as best you can and sprinkle talcum powder around the place as this shows up dribbles of water and should help you trace the source..

    Hi Bruno

I had a leak last year and finally found out it came from the salt water circuit: the hose running under the floor, coming from the sea water inlet to the sea water pump was partially cut when passing over a steel reinforcement.
