    Hi there,

I am trying to understand the locations of all the above components installed in my 2006 331, prior to installing AIS.

So far I think that I have located all the components with the exception of the ‘course computer’. The ‘computer’ is shown on the wiring diagram, and as the boat has all the components that are supposed to be feed to/from the ‘computer’ I assume that it is hidden away somewhere.

Are there any 331 owners that can suggest the location of this elusive item ?!!? Your help could save me having to take apart every cover.

So firstly sorry – not a 331 owner, but in my 38 the Course Computer is attached the to Raymarine network by the standard 3 pin plug.  However coming out of it is one larger cable that connects the computer across to the hydraulic pump which in turn drives a ram to the rudder.  There must be a connection to some sort of drive unit so perhaps trace that back ?

    Thanks Richard for the suggestion.

I’ve located the Course Computer – stbd side behind the main switch panel, it is quite a bit larger than I thought. Also now know that the Sea Talk splitter is located stbd side behind the E80 MFD.

I found some wiring anomolies, e.g. why is the only the NMEA in connected at the VHF, the NMEA out wires are cut-off short ? I will now give RAymarine Customer Support a call to try to get some answers 🙂
