I have recently acquired 2001 N-331 and the FW gauge doesn’t show the tank contents. I suspect the level sensor but cant find it.

I have a 2006 331.
The 331 water tank sensor is located towards the aft end of the tank. If you remove the floor panel above the tank access hatch and look rearwardin the gap below the floor, but above the tank you should see the sensior wiring.
The sensor in my 331 occasionally stops working and to date I;ve managed to get it back by reaching intio the tank and ‘sloshing’ the water towards the float at the rear of the tank. I assume the float sticks. Give it a try !!??
I’m not sure how to access the sensor from above, but suspect it either needs a part of the galley floor to be lifted. There is probably a screwed down section in the floor either in the space under the lower step at the rear of the galley or under the dinette porthand rear seat, (not sure if ‘Miss Nauti’ is the live-aboard layout, if it is not, then I think there is a cupboard to port of the step).
Hope this is helpful, good luck.
Regards,
Alasdair

The water tank Level Sensor on the Nauticat 44 is under the steps into the saloon next to the hot water tank . We had to replace ours this summer and a warning that it cost over £200 for a new one plus fitting. Patricia Low –Karelia of Clyde.

I bought a new sender from Wema. They were very helpful (01404 881810) and offered either one of two replacements, both cheaper than the original. One giving a precise reading, as per the broken one and the other providing stepped readings, which I felt was all that was required, at a cost of £100.80
Easy to fit and has worked faultlessly for 2 years.

Recently bought Nomad 33Mk2. Water tank meter not working, where night the sensor be? There seems to be a push/pull switch associated with the system. Any clues ,is it a common problem?
Well pleased with the boat
