I am planning to buy safety netting to attach to the guard rails of my 331, but I failed to measure the height of the guard rail stanchions before leaving the boat, which is based in Italy. If any 331 owner is visiting their boat in the near future, I’d be very grateful if they would take a measurement for me. The dimension that I need is the length of a typical stanchion from base to rail (preferably in centimetres) as the netting is available in several heights. Thank you very much, in anticipation. Hi Andrew,

I measured my 331, from top of the wooden gunnel to underside of the wooden handrail, i.e. stanchion height.

From the aft end of the handrail to the end above the step the height varies between 60.7 t0 59.7cm.

Hope that is what you need !

    Regards,

    Alasdair

    Hi Alasdair,
Thank you very much for this information; exactly what I needed. Jimmy Green offers guardrail netting at 60mm and 75mm height so 60mm is the one I’ll get. Problem solved. Thanks.

    Regards,

    Andrew
