Leaking helm pump at aft-deck steering station

I have developed a leak coming from the shaft of the helm pump for the hydraulic steering at the outside steering position. It’s a slow drip and steering works fine at the moment.

Two questions:

1. What type of oil to top up the reservoir?

2. Can I replace the seal on the shaft or do I need a whole new pump – if so, where can I get parts?

HI John,
I also have a small leak in the deckhouse steering position but find it difficult to pinpoint the source of the leak.
I have used Vetus Hydraulic Oil top top up the system about once a year.
