The upper stock bearing has a grease point which is mainly to stop water getting in as well as providing a bit of lubricant, the lower is not greased, it is a dry or I should say wet bearing arrangement.
I agree upper bearing has a remote greaser. I could not see anything around the lower bearing, and had come to the conclusion that there must be a bushing in the skeg which relys on water lubrication. It is a pity that the Siltala manual supplied to the first owner does not include more engineering details on items such as this 🙂
