BlockedSuggest u send picture of the “water jacket” that accepts the exhaust and channels water that cools exhaust. Does it have Gustovson stamped on the casting?
Your heat exchanger looks a lot like our 1979-1980 Ford with Swedish Gustovson (Gustovsen?) marinization.
We have cleaned and re-assembled our water cooler. If your’s is Gustovson, what has failed? As I understand it, Gustovson has stopped making these parts? They hard to find.
Some of the o rings can be replaced with Yamaha o rings. Zincs are readily found in US (I can dig out part numbers if you need that)In US, seemingly the only option once system has failed, is convert to Lehman. Costly, but solid.
American Diesel has a tranny oil cooler, but I guess, since an independent unit, others would work.
What has failed or causing concern?

KeymasterGive Mark at Lancing Marine a call – he is the expert in all things ford and marinisation thereof. Sorted me out when I moved from Gustafson to Bowman. Their number is 01273 410025

InactiveAlso SeaHorse power are very very good at the Ford engines – I had to replace my heat exchanger. Their number is +44 1202 526030 or parts@seahorsepower.co.uk. They are good.

BlockedAre Bowman and SeaHorse only in UK or also in US? Would appreciate knowing. We are, thus-far, successfully maintaining Gustovson but may need to change in the future.

ParticipantI had mine retubed by a company that repairs truck radiators. £200 about 8 years ago. Still good. Looks like the company has gone or changed name but there are plenty of others. ASAP carry Bowman heat exchangers.

KeymasterHi David.
Hi David
Looking at google, https://www.ejbowman.co.uk seem to be the manufacturer and they have two distributors in the states, one at http://www.tradewindspower.com in Miami. Hopefully this helps.
I had Gustafson cooling and it was a nightmare, and to remove and fit the bowman system was very easy and significantly less complex than the system I removed. Also the engine now warms up properly and runs at the right temperature: the problem I suffered from was over cooling.
Good luck
Piers
