Hi everyone! I’m currently looking for my perfect match but it will be a Nauticat 33 for a liveaboard adventure.
Sadly don’t have a lot of experience with these boats and was hoping that some enthusiastic owners could help me out by allowing me to come and crew and ask a million questions!
I am a commercial master, holding RYA yachtmaster offshore and MCA Master 200gt for power, Coastal skipper for sail. I am relatively new to sailing and would love the opportunity to learn some more and build on my miles and experience. Under power I have well over 200,000 miles under my belt, passages all around the UK, France and the Med including Biscay crossing. All Certs commercially endorsed and in date. I’m 33, non smoker, fit and healthy, mostly sane and a good cook!
I would love to hear from some Nauticat owners who wouldn’t mind taking me sailing and sharing their experience. I love these boats and can’t wait to become a fully fledged member! Would be great to meet some of you and make myself useful in the process. I’m keen on any type of sailing, cruising or longer passages.
I move about a lot so happy to travel anywhere in UK and Europe. Mostly found on east coast, the Solent or north wales as a rule.

If you come across the pond to Maine (USA), look us up. Nancy and I sail in Maine in the summer (both charter business and recreation) and plan to go down the US coast again this fall to eventually get to the Northern Bahamas.

Now there’s a tempting thought! I spent a very happy year of my childhood living in Concord MA with my dad and Maine was one of our favourite places to visit! Sounds fabulous but not something I could achieve this year I think! Please keep in touch though. My email is a.j.gibson@hotmail.co.uk

I hope you get plenty of opportunities to try out Nauticats. They are very substantially built yachts and we have an active association. I have a Nauticat 351 which is a deck saloon sloop; not the mainstream motorsailer which I guess you are looking for, but a comfortable yacht with a good sized engine. I can send you a photograph if you are interested. If you want to try this Nauticat model then please phone me. My boat is in the Baltic. My no. 07810544231.
Good sailing.

Not sure if you’re still looking but I’m heading up the East Coast on an Nauticat 42 from Friday. Let me know if you’re still looking.
Cheers,

If you are looking for sailing in the 2019 season, I shall be bringing my 33 (1977)Wild Cat from north of Oban to the Bristol Channel in three stages. Dates and detailed route not certain yet but a bit flexible ot suit my crew. Probably April or May in the Clyde, July N Ireland and Isle of Man, possibly Cumbrian coast and/or N Wales, August/September SE Ireland, S Wales ending probably at Barry.
But maybe you have already found the boat of your dreams.
Roger
