    I would love to hear from anyone who has created a boarding “stairs” rather than a ladder. My wife lost a kneecap in a car accident so finds a standard ladder very difficult. I am wanting to try and create a ladder that runs parallel at an angle down the side like a staircase. If anyone has seen one for sale or made their own I would be interested to hear about it.

    Many thanks

    Nick

    I knew I had seen something somewhere!

    It is on the American Nauticat site. Try this link;

    Hope it helps.

    Thanks again Siftasam. I came across that one too after posting my question. It made me realise how elaborate the solution would have to be because I wanted to get below the waterline with a couple of steps. I had a stainless steel chap on board today and am looking at a vertical ladder with enough depth for 2 rungs below the water line at the side gangways but stored at the aft gangway opening.

    Regards

    Nick
