Advice re appropriate tender for 331 please

Hi there,

Would anyone care to offer their advice on a suitable tender and outboard to suit our newly acquired 331?
Envisaged usage is long term Scottish West coast cruising, so we would tend to err on the rugged, larger end of the available range.
The boat has davits and we’re 2 handed.
Our gut feeling so far is a Hypalon build Avon/Zodiac R.I.B 2.6m with approx 4 H.P. Honda/Mercury, but is this just too big and heavy for handling and hanging off the back of a 331?

Hi Anne. I have just bought a brilliant F-Rib (2.8 I think) for my 331 with Davits. Got Suziki 6hp on it (from another boat). Folding fibreglass hull.I did a lot of research. Highly recommended but please phone me on 07817845775 as I have a lot to say on the subject…. also use of Davits etc! Mark
