I don’t know the East Coast, but I really think it does not matter. We changed from the CQR to a Delta years ago and were agog with the difference. In particular, we found it cut through Weed and set at times when the CQR would be useless. We have now changed once again and to the Rocna, which is up yet another level again. We find the main criteria is to have heavy enough chain and use enough. 3x water depth is not enough to sleep at night! We also find that there is a minimum to put out in any depth – typically 30 meters.
