Very interesting idea — thank you, Gordon. I am not familiar with, but already not a fan of, running backstays. But I think I will stay with the classic approach to start, and perhaps go for an arrangement such as yours at a later date. If you can send me a photo including the top of the mast, I would appreciate it! Thanks again.
