Thank you, Bill, for that rapid and thoughtful reply. Yes, we seem to be in a similar situation with hydraulic steering systems and relatively weighty boats. Your final reliance on strong electrical generation and storage is reasonable, but I would like to be free from dependence on the electrical system if circumstances require.
