Many thanks to Mark Ashley-Miller for providing the solution to the stbd list on my 441 Hornpiper. I have found fuel tank gauges on previous boats to be unreliable so on filling tanks after taking delivery I wasn’t surprised to see that both gauges registered only half full. Consequently I gauge the fuel status by monitoring engine hrs. With full tanks she was on an even keel but developed a stbd list despite drawing fuel from the stbd tank only, yet when I refuelled I was surprised and baffled to find the port tank required a substantial top-up.
