I removed the pulpit on a Nauticat 40. Stainless bolts at the bottom run through the hull to a stainless backing plate. These bolts can be removed quite easily while ensuring that the pulpit is supported. The top of the pulpit attaches to the teak rail by a single SS bolt on each side. The Bobstay has, of course, to be released before the entire unit can be taken off. The lighting cables (Nav lights) run up the rear leg and require to be disconnected. I hope that this may help.
