I hope you get plenty of opportunities to try out Nauticats. They are very substantially built yachts and we have an active association. I have a Nauticat 351 which is a deck saloon sloop; not the mainstream motorsailer which I guess you are looking for, but a comfortable yacht with a good sized engine.
