About The Nauticat  Association:
We began by writing to the yachting press and from the response we were encouraged to found the Association in 1995, with the aim of putting Nauticat owners in touch with one another. As the boats are made in Finland, the tracing of spare parts in the UK can be difficult. The Association carries a range of spares which are available to members at a discount. We liaise regularly with Siltala Yachts OY (now renamed Nauticat Yachts ), and can usually source most parts for the boats. We also have our own burgee and a range of personalised clothing for both adults and children.

As there are not many Nauticats in the UK, we are largely a correspondence Association, but we aim to put Nauticat owners with a question in touch with those who have the answer. We also publish a quarterly 'magazine' called  'Cat-a-log' which is circulated to all members, and hold a number of rallies and social events during the year. .

Membership is now over 100 boats, the majority of which are based on the South Coast. We therefore hold a 'summer' Rally at a venue on the south coast, followed by a Cruise in Company. However membership is increasing in other parts of the country, which we hope will lead to events further a field. A Rally in East Coast waters has now been established as an annual event and in 2005 we held our first 'Celtic' rally at Bangor, N Ireland. The AGM is held annually during February, at a venue  accessible to members from all over the UK (usually Bristol).

In June 1999, a group of members paid a visit to the Factory in Finland were we enjoyed the hospitality of Siltala Yachts. We have several European members and have built a rapport with the Nauticat Clubs in Scandinavia and we are now in touch with America's East Coast Association.

We look forward to a gentle growth of the Association and have found all the Nauticat owners are friendly, pleasant people, and we certainly have a lot of fun when we get together, which we do at least 4 times per year at rallies and other events. There is also a very supportive 'Technical' section which can give advice on any problems encountered with your 'Nauticat' .

If you have a Nauticat, please join us and find out what you have been missing.
